The ONU Tigers (9-7, 6-2, CCAC) played a solid game from start to finish to knock off CCAC first place GovState 94-67 Saturday in Bourbonnais. GSU remains in first with a 1/2 game lead, 7 wins and Olivet Nazarene goes to 6-2 in the conference with the victory.
GSU played without starter Cencere McDaniel out with an injury suffered in the St. Francis game Wednesday night.
Zareia Chevre scored 27 points, 4 rebounds and Tabetha Jones had a double-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds for the Jaguars.
Governors State will next play Wednesday night, 5:30 PM vs. Holy Cross in the GSU ARC, January 15.
