The Jaguars led from start-to-finish in a first place matchup with defending conference champion IU South Bend beating the Titans on the road 82-66.
The impressive win for GSU ended IU South Bend's 33-game home winning streak (last home loss for the Titans was in 2022 vs. St. Francis). It also snapped a 10-game losing streak vs. the Titans with the last GovState win in the series - the 2017-18 season.
Senior Zareia Chevre led GovState scoring 30 points hitting 11-13 field goals and totaled four steals in the victory.
Tabetha Jones scored 17 first half points to lead the Jaguars to a 39-31 halftime lead. She had 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals in the win.
GSU went on a 10-0 third quarter run to forge ahead to double-digit leads for the remainder of the game.
Kalvina Eubanks had a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds and Cencere McDaniel scored in double figures with 15 points for the winners shooting a season-high 33-56 field goals (59%), totaling 10 team steals, and out-rebounding IU 33-21.
Da'Naria Washington joined the five starters contributing 6 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds in GSU's fourth straight win in the 2024-25 season.
