WEST AURORA HIGH SCHOOL RUNNERS SIGN WITH GOVERNORS STATE FOR 2024-25

GSU Coach John Niendorf on the two West Aurora High School runners signing with Governors State University for 2024-25 - "We are really excited to bring Branden and Samuel here to GSU. They're extremely talented athletes and are going to make an immediate impact on this team. In terms of highschool personal records they're the two fastest recruits GSU cross country has ever brought in. They're both high character athletes and care deeply about their teammates. They will be bring a nice boost in team culture as well. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these two young men."
Branden DeLeon on why he chose GSU -"I chose GSU because of the apartment style dorm rooms and the trails are really nice, but best of all, nothing beats how amazing the coaches and teammates are."
Samuel Rocio on why he chose GSU - "I chose GSU because I see a promising college that can elevate me to be the best person possible. I believe that special things are coming here to GSU and I want to be a part of that."
