Coach Niendorf on his men's team last weekend -"The men ran out of their minds today in a stacked field that featured multiple ranked teams. Brandon broke his own school record with a time of 25:18. Daniel ran a 25:35, shattering his old personal record. Granison, as a freshman, stepped up big time and posted a time of 26:11. Alex and Randy rounded out the top five with a 27:19 and 27:28 respectively. Most of the guy's team finished with big pr's on a wet and sloppy course, with tough conditions. The men were able to beat a team receiving votes for the top 25, so hopefully that helps us in the rankings. I couldn't be more proud of how they performed today. It was certainly a historic day in GSU history to not only be invited to compete in this premier meet, but to finish right in the middle of a stacked field."
Coach Niendorf on the GSU women's team "I was really pleased with how the women ran today. By the time the women ran, it was the fourth race of the day and the course was completely destroyed, so we knew the times weren't going to be there. We did get a big pr out of Krysta and Yahaira today, running 19:35 and 22:26 respectively. Priya, Sydney, Camila, and Marielle rounded out the top five for the race. The women went out there and really competed. They never complained about the conditions and they went out there and ran tough. As a coach that's all you can ask for from such a young squad. I can't wait to see how they do at conference. It's going to be fun to watch."
