ELGIN, IL - GSU's men's soccer team has played the NAIA's toughest schedule in the 2023 season and the tough road tests have set them up for the second half of season CCAC playoffs push. Governors State beat Judson University Saturday with two late second half goals, - 27 seconds apart - by newcomers Marton Bosombos and Andre Croce. Marcol Salom Chandre had three saves for the shutout road win The Jaguars' win puts the 2023 season record at 1-8, 1-2 in CCAC play). GSU's women's team (3-5, 1-3) lost 5-1 and the Jaguars Grace McLaughlin scored the goal, a first half penalty kick. Both teams play at St. Francis and Trinity Christian next week in CCAC Conference play.

CROWN POINT, INDIANA - Governors State University women's soccer team won its second straight game with a 1-0 shutout victory vs. IU Kokomo. GK Mayra Guerrero made three saves for the GSU shutout and IU Kokomo out-shot the Jaguars in the match 21-7. GSU's Grace McLaughlin scored for the second consecutive game and scored the game-winner in the first half unassisted. The Jaguars (2-1) will be on the road Saturday playing at Indiana Tech University (1-3) in Ft. Wayne, 3 PM CST.

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - The Jaguars men's soccer team has played three NAIA nationally ranked opponents and a Division I foe (Eastern Illinois University) to start the season on the road with four tough tests. Thursday, 1 p.m. at the Sportplex in Crown Point, Indiana will be the GSU home opener vs. unbeaten Spring Arbor University (2-0-1), who beat CCAC St. Francis 4-0 on August 26 at home.
