MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES THIRD AT SEASON OPENER - St. Francis Twilight Meet (Sept. 1, Channahon Park, IL)
GSU Coach Niendorf commented on his men's team performance to open the 2023 season -
"The men's team ran fantastic today. They went toe to toe with some talented teams out there today. Having three guys in the 15s and some in the low 16s helped our team score a lot. Brandon and Daniel went out there and were able to get themselves in the top 10 of the race. Our scoring freshmen, Granison, and Peter, helped us out a lot with a gutsy performance."
"Alex was our 4th today and he was able to help get us some key points at the end. He will continue to improve as the season goes on. As a whole, there were a lot of personal records set today and I think they put Governors States name out there today with their performance, " said Coach Niendorf.
