Second Half Comeback Falls Short in CCAC Conference Championship Game - #1 Seed USF Wins

A big second half comeback fell short for the Jaguars and #1 seed St. Francis Saints held on to win the CCAC Conference Tournament men's championship at home in Joliet 73-63.

(12) Vincent Davis had a double-double to lead Gov State with 20 points, 11 rebounds. Vincent Mayes scored 11 points and Tyrell Isom 10 for GSU (15-16 overall in 2024-25).

GSU was down 59-41 with nine minutes to play and made a 17-4 run to within five points.

The Fighting Saints pulled away late for their first CCAC Championship since the 2018-19 season.

GSU basketball fans now get ready for the women's CCAC post-season tournament championship game, Monday night, March 3, 530 PM in the ARC - #1 seed GovState (25-5) vs. St. Francis Saints (24-6).
