GSU Women's Basketball Community Service Event - ILLINOIS LEGENDS BASKETBALL -

GSU Women's Basketball Student-Athlete, Ce'niyah Hampton attended an event hosted by Illinois Legends. Ce'niyah and former high school teammate Nayo Lear spoke at the event to young girls basketball players about being a student athlete in college. They spoke about their experiences since entering college daily life of a student-athlete, and what is to be expected, … Ce'niyah's answers combine personal expectation and the NAIA's Core Values… Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.

Founded in 2018, the Illinois Legends is a competitive basketball program that competes in the Chicagoland area throughout the year. We wish to use basketball as a way to reach young student athletes. To teach them life skills while fostering good character, sportsmanship, responsibility and positivity. Which will be used throughout their lifetime. We will provide each player with the opportunity to develop their basketball skills through practice, tournaments, and games against high level competition. All staff will share the same beliefs for coaching and fundamentals to pass along to the growing player that will translate to high school, college, and future life decisions.
