JEREMIAH JOHNSON SIGNS MEN'S BASKETBALL NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT TO GOVERNORS STATE UNIVERSITY IN 2023-2024

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - GSU Head Men's Basketball Coach Tony Bates announced Jeremiah Johnson (Chicago Heights, IL, Bloom High School and Prairie State College) signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Governors State University and play basketball for the Jaguars in 2023-2024.

"Jeremiah is a special point guard with the ability to pass first but can get his shot off late in the shoot clock. He is a competitor on and off the floor," said Coach Bates of Johnson.

Hometown: Chicago Heights, IL

Parents:  Angela and Anthony Johnson

High School: Bloom High School

Junior College:  Two seasons at Prairie State College - 2022-2023 season, team was 21-10

Johnson averaged 10.1 pts, 4.3 asst., 2.8 rebs, 85.7 FT% (42-49), 44-123, 3 PT FGs (35.7%)
