SCHOOL RECORDS SET - OUTDOOR TRACK SEASON INTO KEY STRETCH TO CCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

GSU Coach John Niendorf comments on April 13 meet at ONU:
"This meet went incredibly well for us as a whole. There were personal records for almost every runner on the roster. Emilia Kadiyala, Alison Borschnak, and Marielle King all went 1-3 in the women's 5k. Brandon Armendarez took second place overall in the 5k. Sydney Bonham and Krysta Stanko took 2nd and 3rd place in the 1500. Sydney was also the meet champion in the 800, taking first overall, while Krysta took 3rd place. Sydney was able to break both school records in the 800 and the 1500. I felt like the whole team really competed well in all of their heats."
"I didn't see a lot of our runners back down and they all pushed themselves to achieve their own personal records. I loved watching the competitiveness out there today. Now it is just about putting together a few more weeks of solid training and peaking at the right time for conference."
