GSU Head Men's and Women's Track Coach John Niendorf summarized the highlights and his thoughts on the CCACs Friday-Saturday in Joliet.

"This outdoor conference meet was the first one in GSU history, which is very special to me. There were so many personal records set across the board. It was amazing to see Brandon Armendarez become the conference champion in the 10k and then coming back the next day to take 5th in the 5k. The women's 4x800 (Priya Knox, Trinity Bonham, Krysta Stanko, and Sydney Bonham) took 2nd place overall against an impressive group of runners from all the teams."

Priya, Sydney, and Krysta also were able to score points in both the 800 and 1500 as well. I thought Alison Borschnack and Emilia Kadiyala did a tremendous job in the 10k, a tough event to compete in. I was proud of the way everyone competed over the two day meet. With only having distance runners and a few sprinters, I thought the team as a whole competed wonderfully," said Coach Niendorf.
