GSU head Bowling Coach Melanie McDaniel was happy with her teams performances in Indianapolis at the Western Shootout Oct. 12-13.

"What a weekend! - Said Coach McDaniel.

"Varsity Team came together and started off the weekend great! They started with school record high team games of 1108 and 1010. They started off the weekend in first place, but unfortunately couldn't hold on. They fell to finish the weekend in 6th place—which we are very happy with! The Varsity Team was led by Katie Strache."

"JV Team—The girls rose to the occasion and worked well together. They fought hard and finished in second. The JV Team was lead by Sophomore, Haley Leuze."

"Both teams are working extremely hard and it's showing! Week after week these ladies are showing their adversity. They are keeping their heads down, focused forward and trusting the process--it is truly all I can ask from them! We have a few weeks off before we head to our next tournament—so we plan to utilize this time to work on certain areas that we are struggling in."
