Bio

Dave Ladehoff is in his fourth season as assistant coach with the Governors State men's cross country program. He began his duties in August 2021.

Last year Ladehoff trained and provided strategy to NAIA qualifier Lenny Baumann, who became the first male runner at GSU to earn All-CCAC honors. Ladehoff also helped eight runners achieve PRs during the season.

A former cross country and track performer at Drake, Ladehoff has been coaching both cross country teams and boys track and field at Central High School in Clifton, Illinois for the past 14 years. He was named the IHSA Class A Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2018.

Ladehoff spent seven years as assistant cross country coach at Regina High School in Iowa City, Iowa, helping the program to three Class A state championships. He was also an assistant coach for boys track and field at the school.

A Clinton, Iowa native, Ladehoff received a bachelor's degree from Drake University and a master's from Lewis University.

In high school, Ladehoff captured the Iowa Class 3A cross country title in 1989 and ran for a state championship team in 1988. He finished 50th in the 1999 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:31.47 and is still an active runner.

Dave has three children Lauren, Kaleigh and Christian and resides in Chebanse, Illinois.
