Jaguars Women's Soccer Beats Knox College 4-1 For First GSU Win For New Coach "Kiko" Magana

GSU women's soccer team captains (13) Morgan Bean and (23) Grace McLaughlin pictured below - combined for 17 shots Friday to lead GovState to a 4-1 victory over Knox College.

Governors State (1-2 in 2024) earned the first team win for new Coach "Kiko" Magana. McLaughlin had a goal and two assists and Ana Beatrice Rodrigues had three assists to lead the Jaguars offense.

McLaughlin, Jinni Jimenez, Atzihiri Guido, and Elin Nilsson scored goals for the winners Friday in Crown Point, Indiana.

GSU will next play on Sunday at Mount Mercy in Iowa, 3:45 p.m. start in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
